A exact calculated percentage of all advertising revenue is paid to our members. ClixMX.com makes money via advertising, other advertising sources throughout the website as well as earning through direct sponsorship of other ClixMX.com members, just like a regular member does.

How you make money

You view websites in 30 second sessions via the "Surf Ads" page. Once the 30 seconds is up, you'll either get a green tick sign or a red 'X'. The green tick sign means you've earned $0.01 and as premium member $0.0125 for the visit and the 'X' means you have not earned money for the visit. You'll get red X's when you have more than one website from the "Surf Ads" page open. When this happens, you get no credit.

A valuable benefit to both the members and the advertisers is the repeat exposure that the advertiser gets. Whenever you click and view a website, you can visit that website again in 24 hours as long as the visit cap hasn't been reached. That's right! After 24 hours you can click and view the website again. This gives the advertiser optimal exposure by using "repeat advertising" and it further increases the members earning potential.

Earnings example (based on current averages)

Standard Members

You click 10 ads per day = $0.1

20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $2

Your daily earnings = $2.1

Your weekly earnings = $14.7

Your monthly earnings = $63

Premium Members

You click 20 ads per day = $0.25

20 referrals click 20 ads per day = $5

Your daily earnings = $5.25

Your weekly earnings = $36.75

Your monthly earnings = $157.5

While we have no way of knowing how many ads will be available on a per week basis, we do know that ClixMX.com is growing rapidly and advertisers are discovering the true potential of our service. Messenger

Emoticons are those little faces people use to add expressiveness to their instant messages. You can customize emoticons in Yahoo! Messenger by replacing the ones which already come with the program. To do this just complete a few steps to customize and replace them yourself, and soon you can customize as many emoticons as you want to share with everyone you know.

Step1
Create a new emoticon image with your graphics program. It should be no larger than 18 x 18 pixels. If you have the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger you can create an animated image. Save your new emoticon as a GIF file.

Step2
Rename the file you've just created with the name of one of the emoticons that comes loaded in Yahoo! Messenger. Since you probably won't know the names of emotions or "smileys," then go to Yahoo! Messenger's official page and find the name of the "smiley" you want to replace. Once you find the emoticon you want to replace, rename the file, and then insert it into "c:\program files\yahoo!\messenger\media\smileys\".

Step3
Restart Yahoo! Messenger and then open your chat window. Paste the code you've created for your new file so you can see it in the chat box. If you want others to see your newly created emoticons, then you need to send the file you've created and have them paste it in their "c:\program files\yahoo!\messenger\media\smileys\". Then you can share your new emoticons with all of your friends, and they can do the same with you.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blogfornewbie.blogspot.com/2008/09/how-to-create-emoticons-in-yahoo.html' title='How to Create Emoticons in Yahoo! It's one of many factors used to determine which pages appear in search results.

The History of PageRank

PageRank was developed by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford. At the time that Page and Brin met, search engines typically linked to pages that had the highest keyword density, which meant people could game the system by repeating the same phrase over and over to attract higher search page results.

PageRank is patented by Stanford, and the name PageRank likely comes from Larry Page.

What Does PageRank Measure?

PageRank measure's a web page's importance.

Page and Brin's theory is that the most important pages on the Internet are the pages with the most links leading to them. PageRank thinks of links as votes, where a page linking to another page is casting a vote.

This makes sense, because people do tend to link to relevant content, and pages with more links to them are usually better resources than pages that nobody links.

PageRank doesn't stop there. It also looks at the importance of the page that contains the link. Pages with higher PageRank have more weight in "voting" with their links than pages with lower PageRank. It also looks at the number of links on the page casting the "vote." Pages with more links have less weight.

This also makes a certain amount of sense. Pages that are important are probably better authorities in leading web surfers to better sources, and pages that have more links are likely to be less discriminating on where they're linking.

How Important Is PageRank?

PageRank is one of many factors that determines where your web page appears in search result ranking, but if all other factors are equal, PageRank can have significant impact on your Google rankings.
Are There Flaws in PageRank?

There are certainly flaws in PageRank. Now that people know the secrets to obtaining a higher PageRank, the data can be manipulated. Google Bombs are a classic example of PageRank manipulation.

"Link farming" is another method people attempt to use manipulate PageRank. Link farming is the practice of linking without thought of the relevance of the pages being linked, and it is often automated. If you've ever run into a web page that was nothing but a collection of random links to other websites, you may have run into a link farm.

Google has adapted their calculations to filter off possible link farms. This is one reason why submitting your website to directories with low or no PageRank may be a bad idea.

If you find your website linked in a link farm, don't panic. In most cases this has no effect at all on your ranking. You can't control who links to you, anyway. Just don't link back to link farms and don't submit your site to them intentionally.

How Can I See PageRank?

PageRank is measured on a scale of one to ten and assigned to individual pages within a website, not the entire website. To find the PageRank of a page, use Google Toolbar. Very few pages have a PageRank of 10, especially as the number of pages on the Internet increases.

How Can I Increase My PageRank?

If you'd like to increase your PageRank, you need to have "back-links," or other people linking to your website. You can trade links with other people, but make sure you only trade relevant links, and make sure you're not trading links with a link farm. You can register your website with directories, such as the Open Directory Project, but use directories with high PageRank whenever possible.

As you build web pages within your website, you can create some of your own back-links by linking to relevant pages within your own website. This is a technique you may notice on this website. However, remember that the number of links you create counts into the equation. Don't overdo it.

The best way to increase your PageRank is to have quality content that other people want to link.

Google Chrome - New Browser for Google

Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier.

A fresh take on the browser

At Google, we spend much of our time working inside a browser. We search, chat, email and collaborate in a browser. And like all of you, in our spare time, we shop, bank, read news and keep in touch with friends - all using a browser. People are spending an increasing amount of time online, and they're doing things never imagined when the web first appeared about 15 years ago.

Since we spend so much time online, we began seriously thinking about what kind of browser could exist if you started from scratch and built on the best elements out there. We realized that the web had evolved from mainly simple text pages to rich, interactive applications and that we needed to completely rethink the browser. What we really needed was not just a browser, but also a modern platform for web pages and applications, and that's what we set out to build.

So today we're releasing the beta version of a new open source browser: Google Chrome.

On the surface, we designed a browser window that is streamlined and simple. To most people, it isn't the browser that matters. It's only a tool to run the important stuff - the pages, sites and applications that make up the web. Like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go.

Under the hood, we were able to build the foundation of a browser that runs today's complex web applications much better . By keeping each tab in an isolated "sandbox", we were able to prevent one tab from crashing another and provide improved protection from rogue sites. We improved speed and responsiveness across the board. We also built V8, a more powerful JavaScript engine, to power the next generation of web applications that aren't even possible in today's browsers.

This is just the beginning - Google Chrome is far from done. We've released this beta for Windows to start the broader discussion and hear from you as quickly as possible. We're hard at work building versions for Mac and Linux too, and we'll continue to make it even faster and more robust.

We owe a great debt to many open source projects, and we're committed to continuing on their path. We've used components from Apple's WebKit and Mozilla's Firefox, among others - and in that spirit, we are making all of our code open source as well. We hope to collaborate with the entire community to help drive the web forward.

The web gets better with more options and innovation. Google Chrome is another option, and we hope it contributes to making the web even better.

But enough from us. The best test of Google Chrome is to try it yourself.

Download

How to add a CLIP ART image in Microsoft Word

Adding a picture can add a lot of pizzazz to a document. The fact is, simple activities and exercises provide all the fitness and toning you need, at little or no cost. Keep in mind that spot-reducing is a myth. You won't just lose fat around your stomach, for example, you will lose it everywhere, even if you only work your abdominal muscles. However, you can tone muscles in a specific area, and the additional strength will combat flabbiness.

Step1

Work on your abs. Crunches are very effective at toning the abdominal muscles. Do one set of 20 every morning before you get dressed: Lie on the floor with your knees bent. Lock your hands behind your head, and bring your elbows and knees together by flexing your abdominal muscles. Aim your elbows and chest toward the ceiling; lift shoulder blades 2 inches (5 cm) off floor. Avoid fully extending your legs, as this can place too much strain on your lower back. Great ab workouts include rowing, tennis and yoga. These activities work the entire set of abdominal muscles, promoting overall strength. (They're also much more fun than sit-ups and crunches.)

Step2

Improve your biceps using any small hand weight of 10 to 15 lbs. (4.5 to 7 kg) can be used while you're in front of the TV or at your desk. While sitting, brace your elbow against your hip bone and bring the weight to your shoulder. Do several sets of 10 repetitions. You should see results in just a few days. Rock climbing will work the biceps, with the added advantage of simultaneously building forearm strength. As any parent knows, lifting a toddler throughout the day provides a good bicep workout, too.

Step3

Cure flabby arms by working the triceps. Use a light weight at first, up to about 5 lbs. (2.5 kg). Holding the weight in one hand, extend your arm straight over your head. Keeping your elbow still and shoulder down, lower the weight. Do several reps before switching to the other hand. Lots of sports will work the triceps. Cross-country skiing is probably the best and also provides important cardiovascular benefits. Swimming and rowing are also good choices. Start slowly. These muscles can get very sore.

Step4

To work your quadriceps, stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Keeping your upper body straight, flex your knees so that your hips lower straight down toward your heels. Keep your weight back on your heels. Continue dropping your hips as low as you can comfortably go.

Step5

Keep your hamstrings loose. These are the largest muscles in the body, and it is important to keep them strong. Sporting-goods stores and physical therapists carry large elastic bands such as Therabands, designed to provide resistance workouts similar to weight lifting. Purchase one of these bands and tie the ends together in a knot. Secure the band underneath a heavy piece of furniture. Sit in a chair placed 2 feet (60 cm) beyond the end of the band. Loop the band behind your ankle and pull against it by bringing your foot back to the chair. Release slowly. Repeat 20 times with each leg. Almost any activity will work your hamstrings. Walking and jogging are probably the easiest. Again, go for distance rather than speed to get the best workout.

How to Format a Hard Drive With Windows XP

If you want to format a hard drive while using or installing Windows XP, you've come to the right place. This can be very useful for clearing everything off a secondary drive or when installing a fresh copy of Windows. Formatting a computer hard drive is simple and can help eliminate viruses, storage issues and other hard-to-resolve problems.

Preparation

Step1

When you format a computer hard drive you will lose everything that is on the drive. Therefore, it is very important to back up anything you might want later. Additionally, if you are going to be formatting and installing XP you need to make sure you have the discs for any applications or third party hardware you use since you will need to re-install your programs and drivers after re-installing Windows.

Step2

Take a moment to think of anything that you have on the computer that you wouldn't want to lose. Generally, you probably want everything in your My Documents folder, and you also want to save things like your favorites or bookmarks from your Web browser. Remember that each user on the computer has his or her own My Documents folder, Desktop items and Favorites/Bookmarks.

Step3

Save everything to a CD, DVD or a hard drive that you won't be formatting.

Formatting a Secondary Hard Drive

Step1

Right-Click on the “My Computer” icon either on your desktop or in the Start Menu and select “Manage.”

Step2

A new window titled “Computer Management” comes up. Select “Storage” from the left hand side by clicking it once, then select “Disk Management(local)” from the right side by double-clicking it.

Step3

Now in the lower part of the main frame (right side) of the window you should see a nice visual of all your hard drives. Each line is a different drive. Each box on a line (with a colored bar at the top and a size displayed in MB or GB) is a partition on the drive. Partitions are separations of space on a drive. Unless you are doing something specific that requires multiple partitions, you only want one partition per drive.

Step4

First you must delete any existing partitions on the drive you are going to format. Do this by right-clicking on the partition's box and selecting “Delete Partition...” Since you already know that you will be deleting everything on the drive, and have already backed everything up, you can safely say yes to any warning the computer presents you with.

Step5

If there are multiple partitions make sure you have saved everything off them since they might each have different drive letters (i.e. “D:” or “F:”). Then repeat the above step for each of them. If you only want to format one partition that is OK and you can continue to the next step without deleting the other partitions.

Step6

The box for the drive to be formatted should now have a black bar at the top of it and should say “Unallocated” under its size (see picture). Right click on it and select “New Partition...” The New Partition Wizard comes up.

Step7

In the New Partition Wizard click next. On the next page make sure “Primary Partition” is selected and click next. Now make the size equal to the maximum (it should already be set to it), and click next again. On the next page the computer will automatically choose the first available drive letter for the new drive. However, if you like you can choose another drive letter from the drop-down menu, and then click next.

Step8

Finally the New Partition Wizard asks if you would like to format the new partition and if so what format. Choose “NTFS” as it is faster and more secure. Leave the “Allocation unit size” as “Default.” In the “Volume label” field enter whatever name you want the drive to have. Simple is better. Avoid using spaces. Lastly, if the drive is brand new and has never been used before check the “Perform a quick format” box. If the drive has been used before leave this box unchecked. Leave the “Enable file and folder compression” box unchecked and click next. Then on the next page click finish.

Step9

The wizard will now spend a little while formatting the drive. On old or large drives this may take a while. Do not close the “Computer Management” window until it finishes. You will know it is done when the word under the size of the drive changes from “Formatting” to “Healthy” and the name and drive letter you chose for the new drive show up. After it is finished you can proceed to use your newly formatted drive.

Formatting and Installing from the Windows XP CD

Step1

This section explains how to reformat a drive from the Windows XP installation CD. This can be used when installing a fresh copy of Windows onto a computer. Here it is especially important to backup all of your important information because upon formatting you will lose EVERYTHING that used to be on the drive. This includes all applications and device drivers, so you must back up everything you can.

Step2

Insert your Windows XP installation disc into your CD drive (Home or Pro--it does not matter).

Step3

Now as you computer boots a little more it will say “Press any key to boot from CD..” press a key to do so.

Step4

The CD will load up a blue screen and then spend a while loading files it needs. When it is finished it will list a few options, mainly “Press ENTER to set up Windows XP.” Press Enter or Return.

Step5

Now you will be at a screen to select where to install Windows to. This is where you can delete old partitions and format drives. The box in the bottom half of the screen shows all your drives and the partitions that exist on them. Use the Up and Down arrow keys to highlight your “C:” partition and press the 'D' key (if all that shows up is “Unpartitioned space” and you have no C: or D: partitions, skip this step). On the next screen press the 'L' key to finalize deleting the partition.

Step6

Now you are back on the screen to choose where to install Windows. The box on the lower half of the screen should no longer show a partition but simply have an entry “Unpartitioned space xxxxxMB.” Select this with the arrow keys and press the 'C' key to create a partition on the drive. The next screen tells you the minimum and maximum sizes the partition can be and lets you pick the size. The default size is the maximum, but double check that the number entered is the maximum and hit enter.

Step7

Now you will again be back at the choose where to install Windows screen. But this time you will have a partition that looks something like this “C: Partition1 [New (Raw)]xxxxxxMB.” Highlight this entry and press enter.

Step8

The next screen lets you choose which file system to format the drive with. Choose NTFS as it is faster and more secure. If the drive is brand new and has never been used before then use one of the options that ends in “(Quick).” Or, choose one of the lower down options. Use the arrow keys to select the proper one and press Enter or Return.

Step9

From here you are all set and the installation of Windows will proceed starting with a format of your drive. This will take a while (over half an hour) so you can take a little break.

Benefits Of Making Website

Making a website is no longer difficult anymore right now, because there are a lot of tools to build a website in very easy and simple ways even without knowing any programing or HTML learning. The volleyball serve is a very important skill to learn. The serve is how you put the ball into play, which may lead to giving your team an advantage. How effective you serve results in whether or not you're able to give your team an advantage to win the rally. Once developed, float serves can make it extremely difficult for opponents to pass and run an effective offense. Serving should be seen as an opportunity to put your opponent at a disadvantage and is a volleyball skill that shouldn't be taken for granted.

The Float Serve

Stand in ready position. Stand comfortably in a staggered stance with the foot of your non-hitting hand slightly in front. (If you're right-handed, your left foot should be in front.)

Toss the ball and take a small step. The toss is the most critical part of the serve. If you are right-handed, the toss comes from your left hand.
First, stand with your arm bent a comfortable distance away from your body. The arm should be lined up with the hitting shoulder.

Hold the ball up to shoulder level. If you can develop a consistent toss, your hitting motion will always be the same which allows you to develop accuracy serving.

Moving your entire arm, toss the ball 12 to 18 inches high. You'll have to figure out what height is right for you. If your toss is too high, you'll have to slow down your armswing and you'll likely lose power and momentum. If your toss is too low, you'll likely have to rush your armswing, which will likely cause control problems.

Draw back the elbow. Before the toss, you may rest your hitting hand on top of the ball. When you toss, the elbow bends and the arm is drawn back (this is often referred to as a bow and arrow draw back). As you toss and draw back, the weight is on your back foot.

Make contact. As you come through to contact the ball, shift your weight forward (maybe taking a small step). When the serve is completed all your weight is on your front foot.
You want to contact the ball in the center of your hand. Contacting the ball in the center is key to serving a good floater.

Try to serve the ball so it doesn't spin. A ball that doesn't spin will be much more likely to float or "dance in the air" making it tough for opponents to pass. This "dancing" is often referred to as a "knuckle ball effect".

Develop Dribbling Skills

Dribbling is a vital skill for any player to learn. A good dribbler can maintain control of the ball even under pressure. Statistics show that teams that have a greater percentage of possession usually win the game. To become a better dribbler, you have to consistently work at it until it becomes second nature. Dribbling is like a foreign language: The more you practice, the greater your fluency.

Learn to use all surfaces of the foot such as the sole, the inside outside of the foot, and the instep (the laces). In speed dribbling, you will usually use your instep. The outside and inside of your feet are good for allowing you to cut the ball and keep control of the ball. Always remember to maintain good posture and keep low, with knees slightly bent.

Use small touches to keep the ball close to you. Practice lightly advancing the ball forward with each step. This gives you ultimate control. If you are just starting, you will realize that if you use more forceful kicks and have to run to regain possession, it is much more difficult to control the ball.

Keep your head up. Even when you lose the ball, try to keep your head up and look for it, kind of like a blind man learning to "see" with his other senses. This is important because you need to be aware of your surroundings. When practicing, try to look up completely but in game situations, you may need to take a look at the ball every now and then. If you are constantly looking at the ball, a defender can easily sneak up on you and steal the ball.

A great way to beat an opponent is by using an abrupt change of pace. Commonly called the stop and go, the player simply has to stop the ball with his sole and in quick succession advance forward with great speed. This change of pace causes the defender to relax his pressure and give you enough space to bypass him.

Always keep your body between the ball and the defender. When a defender applies pressure to you, try to keep the foot with the ball farthest from him. Use your hands to create space but take care not to foul your opponent.

Learn to use your off foot. If you watch professional soccer, you will notice that the best strikers have an excellent left-footed strike. At first, it will feel very awkward. With patience, you can use your off foot almost as well as your preferred side by kicking the ball against a wall with that foot. At first, the ball may not even go in the intended direction but with practice you will become accustomed to using it.

Use drills and exercises to practice. One great way to practice dribbling is to set up a line of cones and practice dribbling right and left. Vary the pace and use both feet. Envision that you are in an actual game and the cones are defenders. To make yourself more comfortable dribbling the ball, simply practice touching the top of the ball with the sole of your feet, alternating your feet. The ball should not move and you should try not to look at the ball. Jump roping is a great way to improve your conditioning but it also helps you to improve your coordination. Try skipping rope for 5 minutes nonstop (when you mess up, simply continue), then increase by 5 every week until you can jump rope for 30 minutes or more. Remember: No pain no gain!

If you have ever watched a broadcast soccer game, you may have heard the announcer describe a player as "calm, cool and collected." There is also a fourth c: confidence. These 'four Cs' will allow you to maintain control even when the defenders put a lot of pressure on you. If you have confidence in yourself, you will have no problem dribbling the ball well. Always remember that you are in control of the ball and the ball only goes where you want it to go.

Dribble a Soccer Ball/Football

Dribbling is the art of flummoxing opposition players using quick feet or a variety of football moves usually seen in Nike ads. To become an exceptional attacking player, one must be able to beat opponents--the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho are all perfect examples of this. Ronaldo’s trademark move, the step-over, has left dozens of defenders all across the world on their backsides, with both experienced campaigners and those just starting out in the game deceived by the move perfected by the Manchester United winger. Other famous moves include the nutmeg, where a player places the ball through an opponent’s legs, runs around him and collects the ball. This is known as one of football’s greatest embarrassments. The roulette is a move perfected by France legend Zinedine Zidane. This move involves a complex 360 spin that, when performed at speed, is near impossible to stop. Some players have mastered a move so well they can perform it at ease, with the “Cruyff turn” named after Dutch soccer great, Johan Cruyff.

Although dribbling moves can appear inexecutable when first seen by a soccer novice, after practicing, practicing and practicing some more, it is easy to get them right. Those especially fond of YouTube will relish watching over and over again the Olé videos, a mini-game that originated in Brazil where the sole purpose is to embarrass your opponent with quick feet. On the pitch, dribbling serves many purposes. Against teams that have a strong defense with tight man-marking, dribbling can draw more than one defender to the man with the ball, creating space for others to take a shot or make a pass. A good dribbler, one that defenders cannot take the ball from legally, often draws rash tackles, which can result in free kicks in good position for the attacking team, and yellow or red cards for the defending team.

How dribbling is perceived around the world is an interesting issue when you look at the way coaches in different countries see it. Whereas most football coaches in England tend to ignore coaching dribbling, preferring to concentrate on what they see as more practical skills like crossing or shooting, their counterparts in Brazil allow youth players to play with freedom, and this difference can clearly be seen on the national stage. While England only has two players (Aaron Lennon & Joe Cole) that can dribble anywhere near as good as the elite of the game, nearly all of Brazil’s players can go past an opponent with ease, including some of their defenders. In conclusion, dribbling appeared to be a dying art, brought back to life with a bang with the emergence of the likes of Ronaldinho and Edgar Davids, and one only hopes that the next generation, with players such as Anderson, Kerlon and Carlos Vela, continue the moves that bring so much pleasure to those watching the game.

How can YOU become a master dribbler? Follow these tips to learn how:

Start off with a relatively easy move, such as the Cruyff turn.

Watch examples of this move performed on the Internet, on sites such as YouTube or Google Video.

Start practicing the trick, first alone on grass.

Add in plastic cones to act as defenders.

Ask a friend to mark you to make it harder while you perform the move.

Try the move in a match.

Once you complete the basic moves, move on to harder and harder ones like the Elastico or Roulette.

One hopes you will be able to master the art of dribbling in no time at all! The easier moves should take a couple of days to become good at; slightly harder ones could take a week or two. Practice these moves a lot in street matches before you try them in a semi-professional or professional match.

How To Play Indoor Soccer

Indoor soccer is a fast-paced game that incorporates many parts of outdoor soccer, yet introduces a few new twists as well. Traditional soccer provides people with an excellent opportunity to exercise, and indoor soccer only increases the exercise potential. Learn the basic rules now so that you don't miss a chance play in this quick and highly enjoyable version of soccer!

Bring the right footwear. Most indoor soccer fields have very short turf that requires flat bottom soccer shoes in order to play. These shoes are conveniently known as indoor soccer shoes! However, some indoor fields have a longer turf that favors the traditional outdoor soccer cleat. So until you know what kind of turf you will be playing on, it is a good idea to bring both indoor and outdoor soccer shoes.

Understand the positions. Indoor soccer plays with the same positions as outdoor soccer (goalie, defense, midfield, and striker), but the number of players on the field at one time is reduced. The most common number of players on the field is six per side, including the goalie. However, the number of players often changes with every indoor facility because indoor fields are not all the same size.
Players in each position must always know what they are going to do when they get the ball, and must know where the opposing team is at all times.

Recognize rule changes. Indoor soccer has a few major rules that are different or not present in outdoor soccer.

In indoor soccer, there is no offside rule.

When the ball hits the netting above the wall or on the ceiling, a free kick is awarded to the opposite team from the place where the ball was kicked, not where it hit the netting.

Corner kicks are awarded when a ball hits the netting above the goals.

Corner kicks are taken from the white circle in the appropriate rounded corner of the field.

Penalty Kicks are often replaced by a shootout between a goalie and an opposing player.

Learn the three-line rule. In addition to the half field line, there is a line on each side of the field for a total of three lines on the field. The rule is... a player behind the line on their defensive half cannot kick the ball in the air across the line on their offensive half. In other words, the ball is not allowed to pass in the air over three lines (defensive line, midline, offensive line) without touching something or someone.

Use the walls. In indoor soccer, the walls around the field should not be barriers to your success but should help to improve your game. Defensively, the walls can be used as an extra teammate. You can force opposing players to dribble to the walls instead of to the middle of the field. Offensively, the walls can be used as an extra teammate to whom you can pass. If your defender is too close to you, you can pass the ball off the wall and run around your defender to meet the ball on the other side. Don't be afraid of the walls, use them to your advantage!

Be prepared to substitute. Indoor soccer uses a substitute method known as "on-the-fly". Unlike outdoor soccer, substitutions can be made at anytime of the game and those substitutions do not require play to be stopped in order to take place. The only rule is that the substitute cannot enter the playing field until the person they are replacing has crossed a dotted line that runs in front of the bench area. Substitutions are made very quickly and require you to pay attention at all times, so be prepared.

Stay out of trouble. In indoor soccer, a red card has the same meaning as in outdoor soccer: expulsion from the game. However, in indoor soccer, the yellow card commonly used in outdoor soccer is often replaced by a blue card. The blue card is used for minor violations and results in the offending player being sent off the field for a few minutes.

Work on Control. Indoor soccer forces quick decisions in crowded areas so you must be able to control the ball quickly and effectively. Work on making swift, accurate passes and controlling the ball when it is at your feet.

Get in shape! Indoor soccer requires a high level of fitness. Whether you are looking to get in shape or looking to maintain your stamina, indoor soccer is the perfect activity. Because the pace of the indoor game is so fast, players are rarely given moments where they can walk or rest at all. Substitutions often occur at short intervals to rest players, but a high level or stamina is necessary to be successful in the indoor game.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Indoor soccer is an incredibly entertaining sport, but you will never know the benefits it offers until you get out there and play yourself! Understand these tips and you will be well on your way to becoming a successful indoor soccer player.

Help Your Computer Start Up Faster

OK, so this is supposed to help those who are having a bad time starting up their computers. You know the feeling--you turn it on and it takes a lifetime for you to actually do something on it. Argh! These steps are easy to follow, and there is no software required.

Click on the green button on the left bottom of your desktop called "Start."

Now click where it says, "Run," and a box will pop up.

Now on this box, type "msconfig," and hit the enter key.

Now when the "System configuration utility" window shows up, you will see tabs on the upper part of the window.

Click on the tab that reads "Startup." You will see numerous names with check boxes all checked.

Now you will notice that most of those names with the check boxes checked are things you don't really use when you start up your computer--things like Messenger and LimeWire and those kinds of software. Why have them start and show up when you don't need them? Well, let's take them out then...just follow the steps below to do so.

Uncheck the boxes for the stuff that you know you won't be using as often. Be sure not to uncheck the system boxes.

After unchecking, hit the "apply" key followed by the "Close" key and you will see a box that says, "You must restart your computer." If you want to restart your computer now, hit the "restart" key. But if you are still doing something or need to finish up what you are doing, then just click on the "Exit without restart" key and restart manually after you're done. Changes will be made after the system is restarted.

And now you are done. Restart your computer and you'll see for yourself--no more multiple screens popping up when you turn on your PC!

Resetting Your Windows XP or 2000 OS Password

We’ve all forgotten Windows passwords. When it happens, it can really cause a panic, but don’t worry – there is still a way to get out of this. So you are locked out from your PC and can’t access it. You can’t call the locksmith, because the locksmiths can only unlock your car’s and home’s doors, not PC Windows doors. In this article I’ll show you the way to reset the Windows password.

Take a Windows bootable CD and insert it into your CD-ROM. Boot your computer with the Windows CD as if you were doing the Windows installation. When the CD starts working, you will be prompted to “Press any key to boot from CD”.

Go through the steps until you will see a setup screen where it requires you to choose from one of two options:

   Install windows

   Repair windows

Press “R” to start repair of the windows. The Setup will start copying the files from CD to your PC hard drive. Wait for few minutes; the computer will then reboot itself automatically.

The GUI (Graphical User Interface) screen of Windows Setup will be shown on the screen. You will need to go to the command prompt.

If you are using Windows 2000, wait until the setup comes to the place where it says, “Registering Components.” There you are going to pres the “Shift+ F10” key.

If you are using Windows XP, wait until you see a progress bar in the left where it says, “Installing devices.” There you are going to press the “Shift + F10” key.

Now that you have opened the command prompt, you will need to get access to the control panel. Here is how:
If using Windows 2000, type “control.exe” in command prompt without quotes. If using Windows XP, type “nusrmgr.cpl” in command prompt without quotes.

Now that you have access to the control panel, you can reset or set a new password using the control panel administration/password utilities. When you are complete, close the command prompt and wait until the repair is completed. Restart your computer and login with your new password.

Source : HowToDoThings

10 Reasons Why You Should Consider Using AdSense on your Blog (Bahasa Indonesia Menyusul)

1. International Traffic - if your blog has a considerable amount of traffic that comes from outside of North America it can be difficult to find an advertising network that will allow you to participate (particularly if your traffic is from some parts of Asia). Some ad networks will simply not accept you as a publisher, others will not serve their ads to non US traffic and others will serve other less relevant and lower paying ads to this traffic. AdSense does none of this. The beauty of AdSense is that they have such a large supply of advertisers using them that there is almost always some advertiser who wants traffic from your your reader’s part of the world. Of course there is more competition for some traffic than others (which drives up prices) but I know as someone who has a large Australian readership of some of my blogs that it is one of the best ways that I’ve found to make money from that traffic.
2. Easy Implementation - when I first started experimenting with making money from blogging just over 4 years ago I experimented with a number of options. The reason that I stuck with AdSense was that even as a complete technical idiot I could get an AdSense ad unit up and running on my blogs within minutes. Of course since that time AdSense have made implementing ad units on blogs even easier (particularly in the last couple of weeks with server side ad management). While other ad networks have followed in the footsteps of AdSense in how they let publishers design and add ad units to blogs - I still find AdSense one of the easiest to use. This makes it ideal for the beginner wanting to experiment for the first time with an advertising network.

3. Massive Advertiser Base - AdSense has had years to establish itself in both it’s back end but also it’s presence in the Advertising community. The result is that they’ve managed to build up a very large base of advertising clients. This increases the chances of them being able to serve relevant ads to your blog (see my next point). There’s no way that an individual blogger would be able to have access to such a wide array of potential advertisers.

4. Obscure Topics - one of the issues that some publishers face when starting a blog on a tightly targeted niche is that it can be difficult to find ways to make money from it either through finding a sponsor for the blog, finding an ad network that is relevant to the topic or by finding an affiliate program that relates. While AdSense is better for some topics than others (read on for more on this) I’m constantly amazed by just how targeted ads can be on even obscure topics. The myriad of advertisers using this system are competing by bidding on millions of keywords on virtually every topic that you can think of.

5. Make it Easy For Advertisers to Target Your Blog - AdSense servers ads from advertisers to your blog in a couple of ways. Firstly there’s one that is completely contextual - they look at your content and then serve ads from their system that they think will relate to that content and have a good chance of earning you (and them) money. The second method is where advertisers specifically target your blog to have their ad appear on. This all happens without you really having to do anything - but it’s good because it is often used by advertisers to test your blog - which can lead to other things. Every few weeks I get an email from a potential advertiser who had been testing ads on my photography blog via AdSense and then wanted to further the relationship (whether by going with private ad deals, sponsorships, affiliate programs etc).

6. Set it and Forget it - many bloggers just want to write content. They don’t have the time or expertise to approach, pitch, negotiate with and then collect money from advertisers. AdSense takes a lot of this work away from you and many bloggers simply add the code to their blogs and then forget it. Of course for best results you should pay it a bit more attention than that and experiment with different design and positioning of ads - but it does take a lot of the work out of things.

7. No Minimum Traffic Levels - if you are just starting out and don’t have much traffic yet it can be difficult to find advertisers or an ad network to take you on board. Some networks have minimum traffic levels before they’ll accept you into their program - but not with AdSense. While your blog may not earn you much - even with small amounts of traffic you can begin to make a few dollars over time.

8. Able to be Used with Other Ad Types - when I first started experimenting with AdSense there were fairly strict rules in place as to what other types of advertising you were allowed to have on a page that had an AdSense unit on it. However in more recent times it has become a little more relaxed and you can run many different types of ads on the same site and page as AdSense.

9. Multiple Ad Formats - one good feature of AdSense is that you’re not just restricted to one type of ad with them. Not only do you have many ad unit sizes to choose from - but you have the ability to serve Text Ads, Image Ads, Video Ads, Adlink units, referral ads (CPA) and use their ’search’ tool which also is monetized. Many other ad networks just major in one or two of these different formats - in a sense AdSense is something of a one stop shop.

10. Reliable Payment - one of the questions that I’m regularly asked about new ad networks coming onto the market to compete with AdSense is ‘how do we know if they’ll pay up?’ The reality is that most ad networks do pay up - but you do occasionally hear stories of publishers who are not satisfied with this aspect of some ad networks. AdSense has had a few problems over the years with individual publishers - but considering the vast numbers of publishers that they must have - they’ve done pretty well. My payments come in like clockwork and the one time that I did have a check go missing it was promptly replaced.
Source : Problogger
